2015 Spring and Summer Color Trends from Pantone

Hey guys and gals! Spring has officially sprung and with the change in season, we get gorgeous new colors of polish to play with. As with every seasonal collection, the main stream polish brands (China Glaze, Essie, O.P.I. and Zoya) look to the Pantone Color Report for their inspiration.

In the last Color Trend post, I previewed the 2015 Color Of The Year - Marsala. Pantone has continued with that vintage vibe and compiled a lovely, ethereal mix of colors and hues with a very retro flare.

The tone definitely evokes the faded style of the 70's with the muted neutrals and the lighter, washed out pastels. I am not totally sold on the offerings this year, especially with the overuse of blues, but from what I have seen in press releases, and the polishes I have gotten, there are some definite winners among the palette.

On a side note, for the first time, an Indie company has taken inspiration from the color palette for their spring offerings! KBShimmer has incorporated many of these colors into the Spring 2015 collection! I am really excited to see an Indie use the seasonal color report in their line. It is so great to have such awesome polish to pick from when putting together the blog posts.

Are there any colors that you guys are drawn to? Lucite Green and Strawberry Ice are gonna be killer in polish form!
